The 47th session of the Tourist Council was held at the Ministry of Tourism yesterday. The decision of the Tourist Board provided additional funds for the implementation of strategic marketing campaigns in emitting markets in 2019 for advertising in cooperation with Croatia Airlines and the Kvarner Tourist Board, which provides funds for this cooperation in the same amount as the CNTB. These are funds that will help establish the year-round Rijeka-Munich airline. Until now, Rijeka has been connected to Munich via Croatia Airlines on Thursdays and Sundays from October 28.10.2018, 30.3.2019. to XNUMX, and in accordance with the new financial resources, the foundations have been laid for the mentioned airline to become year-round. Also, the arrival of Air Serbia at Rijeka Airport has been confirmed, so a direct line will be introduced from June. Rijeka – Belgrade Rijeka Airport marked 2018 as the year in which it broke all historical records, achieving a total traffic of 183.606 passengers (an increase of 30%), which is the largest percentage increase in traffic of all airports in Croatia. In January this year, Rijeka Airport has already confirmed four new airlines for the 2019 summer season, Lufthansa, Volote and TUI, which will fly to 3 new destinations (London Gatwick, Manchester and Marseille).
