Man Arrested After Shooting at PBSO Deputies in Belle Glade

first_imgTwo men are in jail after shooting toward deputies in Belle Glade, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested 21-year-old Keren Briscoe around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.According to the arrest documents, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Blvd. when a person who was identified as Briscoe started shooting out of the car toward them.A deputy and civilian were also in the line of fire, PBSO says. There were no injuries, although the incident did result in some property property damage.Courtesy: Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office Briscoe has been charged with three counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.Records show he is on felony probation after he was found guilty in September 2017 on charges of being a delinquent in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation and was scheduled to complete his sentence on New Year’s Day 2021.However, Briscoe violated his probation last February, when he was arrested for resisting an officer without violence. He was sentenced at that time to seven days in jail.A judge order Briscoe to be held without bond during a court appearance Saturday morning.last_img
