Big Brothers Big Sisters recruiting volunteers to join board of directors

JOHN, B.C. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fort St. John & Area is looking for residents to join the board of directors.Board members are involved in the governance and oversight of the agency in the community, plus their ideas and vision help guide the organization to make an exciting impact in the local community.“We’re looking for strong members of the community to step forward and bring fresh ideas, perspective, and enthusiasm to our agency,” says Executive Director, Danielle Armstrong.- Advertisement -“During a year of economic uncertainty, it is more crucial than ever to have a strong team in place to support our agency and guide us into the future.”Board members typically commit three to five hours per month, and attend monthly board meetings. Their duties include governance and oversight of the agency, and community advocacy.
