Big accident averted due to quick response by IndianOil officials

first_imgAmbala: A LPG tanker travelling towards Hoshiarpur in Punjab after filling up LPG from IndianOil’s LPG Bottling plant in Loni, Ghaziabad overturned near Ambala on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Immediately after receiving the news of the accident IndianOil General Manager Ravi Suresh Sharma, the in charge of the Ambala terminal constituted a 5 member quick response team which reached the site promptly. The team then coordinated with the local administration and arranged for the presence of 2 Fire tenders and an ambulance at the site as a measure of abundant precaution. The police from Baldev Nagar Station had meanwhile had cordoned off the area. In coordination with the National Highway Authority, the IndianOil team initiated the process of rescue for which 4 cranes were brought in and the tanker was brought on its wheels. The entire operation was supervised by the IndianOil Officials and no leakage of LPG took place from the tanker at any point of time due to the quick response of Indian Officials.last_img
